Had to look up the developer's walkthrough, saw this was only the halfway point and was like, 'Yeah. I gave up after the ridiculous 'puzzle' midway through that required you search the entire huge map for a tiny button hidden behind a piano in order to progress and gave absolutely no indication as to what you were supposed to be doing. Side note: Props to you for being able to finish The Things in the Night. Simulacrum has some really unique mechanics and puzzles, good level design, a neat atmosphere, and probably the best implementation of music-less monsters I've seen in a custom story. The Great Work is the first one that comes to mind when someone asks for a long custom story since it's long enough to be its own game, but seeing as you've already played that, might I recommend Amadeus, A Late Night Drink & its sequel ALND: The Last Sip (these two on their own aren't as long as some of the others, but the sequel is a direct continuation story-wise), The Trapdoor (requires Amnesia 1.2, unfortunately, but well worth it if you still have a 1.2 installer), Penumbra: Necrologue. It has a modified sanity system which really amps up the tension at points. If you're just wondering what they're about or what makes them unique, The Trapdoor follows a man who has to regularly feed a monster that lives in the upper parts of the castle he's trapped in. If you mean, how good they are, The Trapdoor is maybe my fifth favorite mod I've played (and I've played a ton) and Simulacrum is definitely up there as well, though maybe not quite as high.
